It was yet another Wild autograph signing but this time was different. It was not a Wild Hockey Unplugged. Which means I could be greedy and get as many autographs as the line would allow me to get. I meet Mike at 3P.M. for the 5 o'clock signing. My sister, her friend Lisa and brother were also in attendence. I had printed out some pictures of Derrick Boogaard since he was scheduled to attend. I gave one to Lisa for the cost of one Great Waters Homebrew beer. About 3:30P.M. a Great Waters employee started handing out numbers which was unusual for a private signing but whatever keeps it fair. Sadly he was also in forming us that Derrick Boogaard would not be there. It would be the second time I have tryed to get Boogaard to sign something and he is sick/hurt/or otherwise. Cal Clutterbuck was the replacement. One lady was just as mad as I when I found out about the unplugged policy changes (see 012809). Which of course now half the establishment cleared out. I think it was good for the business since fresh tables appeared since us WIld autographs seekers were holding up the fort.

It was a good replacement mind you. I am an autograph whore essentially so it was no big deal to me. But I had no Cal pictures or anything for Cal to sign. Decision time was upon us. My brother had just arrived and Mike and I decided that we would walk to the Xcel Engery Center and buy something. My bro held out table. We were able to find two photos and a mini helmet. It only took us 20 minutes to walk there and back. I was suprised to see Kathleen Borchske there. I thought she would be at the unplugged event. Maybe the Wild organization knows who the people really want to see. Skula and Schultz were signing autos in Bloomington for the Unplugged. No offence to Schultz but the place he was signing has horrible parking and there is no street parking.

We were then lined up at 4:30 P.M. and by 5:15 we went through the line. By 5:30 Cal had finished all the numbers and at 5:45 we had been through the line 4 times. Cal is a good grapher. Needless to say it was a good day for us. Plus we all got pictures with Cal. Best Wild event this year for me. In all I got two 8x10s, 1 mini helmet, 1 5x7 and a puck signed. My brother and sister all helped me these and they all got 5x7s and their pictures taken.
