Welcome to Venturing Crew 613's site. We specialize in high adventure activities, such as biking, winter camping, backpacking, etc. We also do some non-strenuous activities from time to time, like attending dances and doing fund-raisers. Until September of 1998, we were referred to as Explorer Post 613. Due to some social issues, the career posts remained in Exploring, while high-adventure groups, like us, became Venturers (As if it really mattered). Currently, I still don't know what our membership is. I will tell you that since the last time I checked it is still very good. We have a lot of new members coming and not only that the ratio of female:male is becoming larger.
We are currently located in the Gateway District of St. Paul, Minnesota,
in the Indianhead Council. That is right, we are no longer the Greater
East Side which we have been for many years. On March 2, 2000, the whole
distict voted to change our great district's name and so we have a name
for our district. The new name takes effect July, 2000.
