It is a sad day for myself as a fan of Jesse Crain. It has also been a while since I posted on my unofficial site. There hasn't been alot to talk about so far. Some good rock band talk and the like. Check out my video I made for the MTV Music Video Awards 'Float On' covered by Flying Chili Moneys but I degress.
Jesse was sent to Rochester today and here is the Pioneer Press Article:
The Minnesota Twins reinstated left-handed starting pitcher Glen Perkins from the disabled list and sent right-handed reliever Jesse Crain to Class AAA Rochester, the team announced today. Crain was 2-3 with an 8.15 ERA in 23 appearances for the Twins this season. Perkins is 1-3 with a 5.36 ERA in eight starts.
I listen to a lot of Randy Shaver on 93.7 FM. Randy said Kubels got the swing back, Mauer is mental ('if there is ever a guy in the majors who could hit .400 again, dont you think its Mauer' "I dont think its going to happen obviously"), Ayala strating to come around, the bullpen is coming around, but Jesse isnt. I like the guy, he is a great guy, ever since the injury he hasnt been the same.
On that note, I you like Randy Shaver but boo to you sir.

I wish you the best Jesse. I hope every turns around for you and you come back dominating the Big Leagues soon. I hear the Rochester pitching coach is solid. It will be a good thing. Heres to not giving up and putting my Kemps Rep (Mike N.) in his place.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)—The Minnesota Twins activated right-hander Jesse Crain from the disabled list on Sunday and sent catcher Jose Morales to Triple-A Rochester. Morales, who started in Sunday’s loss to Kansas City, filled in nicely while the Twins awaited the return of All-Star Joe Mauer from a back injury. Morales batted .340 as the backup to Mike Redmond, who hasn’t played since April 25 because of a shoulder injury. Mauer was activated Friday, and manager Ron Gardenhire said Sunday that Redmond was ready to return to action, leaving Morales the odd man out. “The kid played very well,” Gardenhire said. “But there’s things he can work on, so he’s going to go down and get to catching in Triple-A and see what happens. But he did very well up here.” Crain went on the disabled list April 20 with a swollen right shoulder. He is 1-0 with a 7.50 ERA in seven relief appearances this year.

Its been awhile but I have been looking for some info on the DL situation. During the previous Boston/Twins seris in Boston, Bert Blyleven said he talked to Jesse and said the DL was just to recoup from pitching 3 games in 4 days. It will also help some inflammation that had occured as a result.
Yesterday at the dome, I was able to talk to Jesse about the family friendly changes to the lastest Rock Band game. Lego Rock Band. Seems kinda over played I think. Why ruin to good franchises like that? It is like Guitar Hero making a best of game. BUt I degress... Some others graphing that day had already asked him about his shoulder and well being. Jesse was cool and said he was feeling good.

As reported by the Star Tribune of Minneapolis -
The Minnesota Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Jesse Crain on the 15-day disabled list — retroactive to April 18) — with right shoulder inflammation. In seven appearances this season, Crain is 1-0 with a 7.50 earned-run average with five walks and seven strikeouts.
Left-handed pitcher Jose Mijares will replace Crain. In five appearances with the Rochester Red Wings this season, Mijares is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA with one save, one walk and four strikeouts.

No suprise but I was at the Pro Shop signing today. Not a big turn out but there was a line. I was able to go through twice and more if I really wanted to. I was able to give Jesse an 8x10 I printed out and I took from the home opener. I asked Jesse about said website. He didn't have much to say other than Shaun and him were talking about it and it sounded like a good idea. I told him I hoped it works out for him. I then drove to meet Craig Breslow at Roseville. View the Pro Shop photos here.

My name is Shaun and I operate JustinMorneau.com. I don’t know if you’re already aware, but Jesse Crain and Justin share the same agent. I have a call with them on Tuesday to discuss putting together a fan site for Jesse. I’m hoping to get something worked out that will function similar to JustinMorneau.com, in that it will be an “official” fan site. I’ve talked to Jesse about it a couple of times, most recently at the WBC in Toronto , and he was into the idea.
I’m not sure what will come of my discussions on Tuesday, but if you’re interested, I could use a contributor to the site. Someone who writes short news and notes, looks for stats info, digs up stories, etc.. I have a bunch of people that assist in this way with Morneau and we’ve gotten to be a close group. Let me know if you’re interested and we can discuss further.
Thanks –
Shaun

Talk about freaking sweet. I only had the website up at most 12 hours and BAM! Instant Stardom. I hope this Shaun guy can work his magic so I can be apart of this project.I do think it is fun how everyone thinks my name is "Bob" since it is part of my screen name. Oh well but i degress. Here is my response to him.

The day before the last Dome Opener. It was 7:22 A.M. and so the phone rang. I was woken up early by my friend Mike. He was already at the big inflatable toilet. I rolled out of bed scramble for my gear which was in three, four different places and was out. Crain came to the Dome about 8:40ish. Nathan and Guerrier were with him and they stopped to sign a few. I waved a photo and Jesse glanced in my direction and saw me. He asked if I would be outside still after practice. I told him I would be. He went inside without signing. About 11:20 he came on a cart driven by the ball boy from the load dock area. He was dropped off at his car and he got in. Instead of driving away, Jesse stopped his SUV kinda herky jerky like. He hopped out of the car and came right to me. I didn't have a maker ready but he signed a few others before me. We talked a little about Guitar Hero: Metallica and Rock Band. For some reason Jesse still likes Guitar Hero more than Rock Band. That is another debate though. Jesse signed for everyone and it was by far one of the cooler things a player has done.

My friend Mike and the Photoguy, Shawn, said that Jesse got out of the car and made a V-line for my place in line. Mike suggested that I make a Fan Page and was really suprised I hadn't made one already. Thus the internet star was born.
